RK Titanium Super F8X Single Turbo Kit

 

After much anticipation, our kit is here!

Say hello to the RK Titanium top mount Super F8X Single Turbo kit!

This is the most Bespoke kit designed to not only look how you'd expect an RK part to look but also perform the part as well!

We started with the Precision Turbos Next Gen 6870 SCP (6466 as an option) turbo geared around their all stainless Vband housings for ease of adjustments and installation.  The turbo is happily seated on top of a billet CNC 6 to 1 collector standard.  The collector is fed by way of 6 equal length 1.25" runners for the quickest spool and a happy engine.  This will also give you the cleanest sound from your S55 engine which is one of the great appeals to the single turbo conversion!  The head flange is then back welded followed by a hand port to ensure the smoothest flow and transition into the runners.

Gasses are expelled through the Vband turbine housing and out our titanium downpipe where it quickly expands to full 3.5" for optimum flow.  Boost control is handled by a Turbosmart straight gate and recirculated back into the downpipe after the expansion as to eliminate excess restriction and flow disruption choking the turbo.  The downpipe can be terminated in either the oem double flange or you can designate to leave it as a single 3.5" open end for easy mating of our Super Single Titanium exhaust system or a custom setup to maximize the flow and reduce the oem neck downs.

Compressed air off of your new Precision turbo of choice is directed to your oem or equivalent top mount by way of our full titanium chargepipes in a 2.5" split to 2.25". These are colored in your choice of finishes we offer!  If you're truly after that extra touch, send us in your top mount cooler for modification and designate the Vanjen upgrade.  We will weld vanjen fittings to your top mount and affix it to our mockup and create full custom piping for you with all vanjen flanges. This will remove the pesky silicone couplers on all connections.  This upgrade will also allow us to use full 2.5" piping and eliminate the 2.25" reduction.  This will be dependent on the design and internal build of your top mount.  As tested with the CSF top mount on our shop car, we were able to maintain full 2.5" into the cooler.  Finish off your piping with a Tial or Turbosmart blow off valve to complete the look and have that iconic sound coming from your Euro beast!

Other Notes:

All kits are built to order with an estimated eta for a standard kit of 8-12 weeks.

Please note that custom requests or options requiring outside vendors such as T51r mod, powder or cerakote and polishing is on the timeline of those vendors and WILL add to the build time.

All kits are built off of a mockup vehicle and are test fitted prior to shipping.  Slip connections and vbands will show very minor surface contact scratches.  Test fitting and assembling the kits this way ensures fitment and ease of install for the end user.

Boost control is up to the end user.  The kit will come with lines and a Turbo Smart Straight gate with the assorted springs.  It will be up to you to set up a 3 port with Reflex or external boost controller as you desire. 

Blow off valves can be selected and added to the kit.  We will weld the appropriate titanium fitting to the chargepipe and include the Blow off valve of choice as part of the upgrade.  You will be responsible for plumming the blow off valve and setting up an external blow off valve controller.  We use the Turbo Smart blow off valve controller on our shop car.

If you designate to have us modify your top mount for the vanjen flanges, please know that we will strip any coating around the welded area to ensure the flanges are fully welded.  We do not hold any liability for scratches or damage to any existing finish or coating to your top mount heat exchanger.  If you would like a local shop to handle modifying your heat exchanger for the vanjen upgrade, that is acceptable however, we must have the heat exchanger shipped to us for final mockup and chargepipe design.  The heat exchanger must be shipped to us regardless for this upgrade whether we weld the fittings to it or not.  Additional shipping will be assessed for this modification to send your heat exchanger back to you. 

Installation:

It is strongly recommended that this kit is installed by a shop with experience with single turbos.  This WILL require tuning prior to initial startup as many sensors will be turned off and not used.  This kit is not recommended to be installed in your garage on the floor. We have several shops around the country we trust to install these kits.  Please email us for a list.  We will not provide install support for a DIY install of this kit.  There are far too many liabilities with this install in which RK Titanium LLC will not be held responsible for damage to your vehicle as a result.

Warranty:

All RK Turbo kits are not covered under the standard RK warranty.  There are many parts included in this kit that we do not manufacture therefore these parts are not covered under our warranty.  The parts that are covered under the RK warranty for this kit are:

RK Downpipe for limited warranty for 1 year to original purchaser against cracks or defects
